WHAT IS SHINE?

SHINE is Momentum’s recreational sideline cheer program, offering a spirited and structured introduction to cheerleading for athletes ages 5–16. With comprehensive training in motions, jumps, stunts, and teamwork, SHINE gives kids the tools they need to build cheer skills, grow confidence, and experience the joy of performing—without the pressure of competition.


Program Highlights:

  • Two seasonal sessions (August–December and January–May)
  • Open enrollment year-round for flexible participation
  • All athletes receive a performance shirt and bow
  • Expert instruction in cheers, stunts, and routines
  • Designed for athletes preparing for school cheer or future All Star programs


Two SHINE Teams:
📣 JV Team (Ages 5–9) – Great for beginners learning the fundamentals in a fun and team-oriented setting
🏆 Varsity Team (Ages 9–16) – Perfect for athletes ready to perform with polish and confidence

Performance Opportunities & What to Expect

Unlike competitive cheerleading, SHINE gives athletes 5–8 performance opportunities each season, allowing them to showcase their skills at local events, pep rallies, and Momentum showcases. Performances are scheduled throughout the year to give families plenty of notice and flexibility.
